A panorama picture is simply a very wide angle photo, while a 360-degree panorama picture shows the entire “circle of view”. You need to put that panorama picture into a specialised viewer to be able to realistically pan around the scene as if you were really there. You need to be able to look from side to side and up and down. It’s like standing in a “bubble” of photos. Link those “bubbles” together and you create a virtual tour.
It can be as simple as a single shot like this one from Cora-Linn near Launceston:
(Click and drag on the image with your mouse; use your keyboard arrow keys and mouse scroll button)
Or as complex as this one for the Launceston Aquatic Centre:

Panoramas can not only show the full sweep and grandeur of a scene, or interior, they can also be linked. Click on a doorway to enter the next room; click on a window to see the view. Combine a set of linked panoramas with music to set the mood, or even narration to point out features and highlights and you have an immersive experience that simple pictures can never match.
Your tour can also contain ‘hotspots’ that activate further images or text information. We can include a Google maps popup within the tour showing exactly where your business is located. We can even put links in the map that open extra panorama views.
In real estate we can provide shots of all the key rooms and exteriors, link them with hotspots and thumbnails, brand the tour with your company logo and link, and include either your own narration, or we can provide music. Virtual tours work well for hotels and B&Bs. Show off your best rooms, views and facilities. Customers can then book online with confidence.
We can customise any aspect of the tour to suit your business: embedded photos, audio, video, pop-up text panels and maps.
